Some lessons are good, some are not. It’s what you do with them that counts. This Scripture comes up many times when bad things happen, unexplainable things, and things that come at the most inopportune time. Scripture says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
The world is filled with opposing voices against faith in God, Kingdom culture, and God given rights. Some voices come against freedom of movement, the right to work, the right to healthcare, the right to ban medical experiments, and censorship of free speech. Other voices say men are obsolete, there are multiple genders, and equality through socialism. Voices of compromise, voices of apathy, and voices of moral weakness are all around you.
What’s happening on the inside of you? You already know that outward appearance can be deceitful. A person can look like they have it all together but on the inside are falling apart. Humans tend to think that those that look the part, have great manners, and can quote Scripture are somehow doing great. The truth is, as the old saying goes, "You can’t judge a book by its cover".
Changing the world seems like a fairy tale, an impossible task, and an illusion. Some would say the world is changing but in the wrong way. We see the rise of lawlessness, immorality, and destruction of the family. With that in mind, it seems like we are walking in darkness as a society. The good news is this, there is the power to change the world for good.
In life, there are many distractions, entanglements, and detours. Getting your act together will help tremendously. To accomplish that requires a life plan having goals and focus. Focus is the ability to see without distraction. Planning out your life can be difficult in a world filled with many obstacles. Nevertheless, Christians have the advantage of guiding truth.
