Prayer for Protection, Guidance and Deliverance

Prayer For Protection, Safety, And Guidance

Trust in the Lord to be your protector, provider and deliverer. Prayer for protection, guidance, and self-deliverance is available to you. The Lord is your protector, provider, deliverer, savior, and healer. He says, "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3). He is a very present help in times of trouble.

He declared, “I am the Lord your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before or besides me” (Exodus 20:1-3). The word “gods” includes protector and deliverer. In other words, you shall look to no other god as your protector and deliverer besides Christ.

One of my favorite Scriptures speaks of confidence in His protection and deliverance. “And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him” (1 John 5:14-15 AMP).

Psalm 25 is a great prayer for protection. Pray this Scripture over yourself and family members.

[A Psalm] of David. UNTO YOU, O Lord, do I bring my life.

O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in You. Let me not be put to shame or [my hope in You] be disappointed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

Yes, let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for You be put to shame or be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause.

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.

Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You [You only and altogether] do I wait [expectantly] all the day long.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercy and loving-kindness; for they have been ever from of old.

Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties) of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember me, for Your goodness' sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He instruct sinners in [His] way.

He leads the humble in what is right, and the humble He teaches His way.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

For Your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity and my guilt, for [they are] great.

Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

He himself shall dwell at ease, and his offspring shall inherit the land.

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.

My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

[Lord] turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

The troubles of my heart are multiplied; bring me out of my distresses.

Behold my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins [of thinking and doing].

Consider my enemies, for they abound; they hate me with cruel hatred.

O keep me, Lord, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed or disappointed, for my trust and my refuge are in You.

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for and expect You.

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles.

Amen.

Psalm 91 is a powerful prayer for protection, safety, and protection against evil.

(Psalms 91:1)  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

(Psalms 91:2)  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

(Psalms 91:3)  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

(Psalms 91:4)  He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

(Psalms 91:5)  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

(Psalms 91:6)  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

(Psalms 91:7)  A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

(Psalms 91:8)  Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

(Psalms 91:9)  Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation;

(Psalms 91:10)  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

(Psalms 91:11)  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

(Psalms 91:12)  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

(Psalms 91:13)  Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

(Psalms 91:14)  Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

(Psalms 91:15)  He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

(Psalms 91:16)  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Christ didn’t bring you this far to leave you now. He is a very present help in time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is your protector, provider, and deliverer!
