Why Christians Should Avoid Dead Churches

Why Christians Should Avoid Dead ChurchesAre you looking for a church that is alive with the presence of the Holy Spirit? Do you want to experience true worship, fellowship, and transformation?

The Bible is clear that the church should be a living, vibrant place of worship and fellowship; it should be full of life and hope, and it should be a place where the Holy Spirit resides. As Christians, we are called to seek out churches that are alive and full of the Holy Spirit and to avoid those that are spiritually dead. The first and most important reason a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-led church is because it is the will of God.

The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:19–21, "Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." In this passage, we are commanded not to quench the Spirit but to instead embrace it. This means that we should actively seek out churches that are alive with the presence of the Holy Spirit and not those that are spiritually dead.

The second reason a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-led church is because it provides the opportunity to grow in faith. The Bible tells us in Colossians 2:6-7, "Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."

This passage tells us that we should be rooted and built up in the faith, and the best way to do this is through the teaching and fellowship of a living, vibrant church. The third reason a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-led church is because it provides a place to experience true Christian fellowship. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:24–25, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." This passage tells us that it is important to meet together to encourage one another in love and in good works, and a living, vibrant church provides the perfect atmosphere for this.

The fourth reason a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-living church is because it provides a place to experience true worship. The Bible tells us in John 4:23–24, "But the hour is coming and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

POWER LAWS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

This passage tells us that true worshipers must worship in spirit and truth, and a living, vibrant church provides the perfect atmosphere for this. The fifth and final reason a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-led church is because it provides a place to experience true transformation. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18, "And we all, with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

This passage tells us that we are being transformed into the image of Christ as we behold the glory of God, and the best place to do this is in the presence of a living, vibrant church. In conclusion, it is clear that a Christian should attend a Holy Spirit-led church and avoid a dead church. The Bible tells us that God is looking for true worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and truth, and that the best place to do this is in the presence of a living, vibrant church. A living, vibrant church also provides the opportunity to grow in faith, experience true Christian fellowship, and experience true transformation.

Therefore, it is important for Christians to seek out churches that are alive and full of the Holy Spirit and to avoid those that are spiritually dead. Finally, remember that God inhibits the praises of his people. The apostle Paul declared, "Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ"
(1 Peter 2:5).
