Embracing the Apostolic Spirit: God's Plan for Restoration

God has a specific plan for each disciple. He refers to them as revolutionary change agents who transform the world with the gospel of the kingdom and spread his love and light. As believers, we are living in exciting times, as the Spirit of God is leading us into a restoration of the apostolic model of ministry. The Word of God speaks of a restoration of all things prior to the Lord's return.

In Acts 3:21, it states, “Whom the heaven must receive until the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”

Throughout the ages, holy prophets have prophesied this restoration and continue to speak about it today. If a prophet doesn't mention this restoration, they should pray about this failure.

The modern apostolic ministry is one aspect of this restoration.

The apostles role is to govern and guide the church, just as the original apostles did in the early church. Not as the apostles of the lamb but as ascension gift apostles. (Apostles called after the resurrection.)

They are called to be spiritual leaders, equipping the saints for the work of the ministry and building up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–13).

This is an important aspect of the restoration of the apostolic church, as it brings back the biblical structure and order that God intended for his church.

In addition to the ministry of modern apostles, there is also a revival of apostolic churches and believers.

Apostolic churches stand out for their unwavering commitment to adhering to the teachings and practices of the original apostles, as well as upholding the principles of the early church. These churches strongly emphasize the power of the Holy Spirit and strive to fulfill Jesus' Great Commission to spread the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19–20).

Apostolic believers also play a key role in this restoration.

These are believers who are committed to living their lives in alignment with the teachings of the Bible and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. They are passionate about sharing the love of Christ with others and making an impact in their communities.

As they follow God and let his spirit lead them, they change their surroundings. The Holy Spirit reveals more of this restoration of the apostolic spirit, reminding us to follow his leadership and listen to his voice. We must also be open to the powerful work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, allowing him to mold us into vessels that carry his power and love into a broken world.

In conclusion, God intends to restore the spirit of apostolic ministry within the church as we see this restoration taking place. He has appointed modern apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to lead and guide his church and has raised up apostolic churches and believers to be vessels of his love and light in the world. Let us continue to seek the Lord and his guidance in this exciting time, and be open to the ways in which he wants to use us to bring about transformation and revival.
