Understanding the Spiritual Authority Jesus Gave Us to Overcome All Power of the Enemy and Heal the Sick, Cleanse the Lepers, Raise the Dead, and Cast out Devils

Understanding the Spiritual Authority Jesus Gave UsDo you ever feel like you're facing a battle you can't win? Jesus Christ has given us spiritual authority to overcome the enemy and to do the same works He did and even greater works in His name. The Bible is clear that Jesus Christ has given us spiritual authority.

According to scripture, God has given us authority over all the power of the enemy and has given us the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. In Luke 10:19 we read, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Jesus has given us the power to overcome all the enemy’s power and to tread on whatever it throws at us. This authority is available to us once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. In Matthew 28:18 Jesus says, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

This is a powerful statement indicating that Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. This means that Jesus has been given all authority over all spiritual forces and powers, and He has delegated to us the authority to exercise that same power. In John 14:12, Jesus further emphasizes this point when He says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”

This is a clear indication that Jesus has given us the authority to do the same works He did and even greater works in His name. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul reminds us of our spiritual authority when he says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Here Paul is reminding us that we are not just fighting against people, but against spiritual forces that seek to destroy us. He further reminds us that we have spiritual authority to fight against these forces in Jesus’ name. In Romans 8:37 Paul also emphasizes the authority given to us in Christ when he says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Here Paul is telling us that no matter what the enemy throws at us we have the authority to overcome it in Jesus’ name.

Lastly, in Matthew 10:1 Jesus said, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” Here Jesus is reminding us that He has given us the authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, and even raise the dead. This is a clear indication of the spiritual authority that He has given us. In conclusion, the Bible is clear that Jesus Christ has given us spiritual authority.

He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy and has given us the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. He has also given us the authority to do the same works He did and even greater works in His name.
