The Abrahamic Covenant by George R. Hawtin Latter Rain Movement Pastor

George R. Hawtin (1909-1994) was a theologian and leader of the Latter Rain Movement, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit which took place beginning in 1948. Hawtin's contribution to this phenomenon was the uncovering of profound truth - the Abrahamic Covenant - which explained God's unilateral initiative in making a series of solemn oaths to Abraham and his extended family.

He gained widespread recognition for his cohesive and comprehensive series of volumes entitled "The Treasures of Truth", each of which examined a separate facet of the Kingdom of God.

He believed that the New Testament church with its elect throng was but one integral part of the original Covenant. To distinguish between the two houses of Israel - the house of Judah and the house of Israel - he proposed seventy Biblical marks of identification through which the house of Israel would be recognized.

Hawtin illuminated many further aspects of the Kingdom of God, such as The Cross of Christ and its Eternal Significance, Creation, Redemption and the Restitution of All Things, The Mystery of Suffering, and much more. His work continues to be widely distributed and still informs many who seek a deeper understanding of God's Word.

The theological contributions of George R. Hawtin remain a testament to the power of God's love and grace. Throughout his life, George Hawtin dedicated himself to the pursuit of Kingdom Truth, the uncovering of God's plan of the ages.

With a relentless and tireless dedication, Hawtin presented a wealth of spiritual knowledge through his series of volumes entitled "The Treasures of Truth." These booklets examined each facet of the Kingdom of God in a style that was easy to understand and widely read. Hawtin's primary contribution to the Latter Rain Movement was the revelation of the Abrahamic Covenant, which demonstrated God's unilateral initiative in making a series of solemn oaths to our father Abraham and his extended family even into this present day.

He argued that it was a mistake to confuse the house of Judah and the house of Israel, as they had different callings and different promises. Consequently, he proposed seventy Biblical marks of identification through which the house of Israel would be recognized. Aside from the Abrahamic Covenant, Hawtin went on to explain and expound upon many other truths surrounding the Kingdom of God.

He wrote extensively about The Cross of Christ and its Eternal Significance, Creation, Redemption and the Restitution of All Things, The Mystery of Suffering, Glory, Honor, Immortality, Eternal Life, and much more.

To this day, his work is widely appreciated and accepted by many who seek to have a comprehensive understanding of the Word of God. The legacy of George R. Hawtin is one of deep faithfulness, dedication, and passion for revealing God's word to the world.

He spent nearly an entire lifetime devoted to uncovering and unearthing the spiritual treasures of truth, and consequently, his work continues to benefit and touch many lives. The greatest legacy of Hawtin, however, persists in its reminder to us of the power of God's love and grace.
