Blow the Trumpet in Zion: A Call to Action in the Battle of the Spiritual War

Spiritual Attacks, Sound The Alarm, Blow The Trumpet In ZionSound the alarm! A demonic storm is approaching and it's time to blow the trumpet in Zion and prepare for battle. Spiritual attacks are on the way. A demonic storm is approaching and, for some, already arrived. Life has changed, is changing, and will continue to change. Everything that can be shaken is being shaken. It is time for the Church of Christ to sound the alarm and blow the trumpet in Zion. It is time to beat our plowshares into swords.

The nightly news of radical Islamists murdering the innocent reveals the natural results of a spiritual war. The Prince of Persia has launched a demonic attack against the nations of the world (Daniel 10). The agenda is dominion through violent submission. Their declaration is submission to Allah and death to the infidel. This war cannot be ignored.

The responsibility of Church leaders in every nation is to speak into chaos and disorder. Some are fearful, don't know what to do, and are looking for leadership. John the Baptist was a prophet called of God to make a way for Christ's ministry. John's ministry was not hosted by the big synagogues of his day but in the wilderness of Judaea. John's ministry was a dangerous ministry. He came against the spirit of religion and its confederation with political powers. In spite of that, John was a voice preparing the way for the King of kings and Lord of lords.

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."(Isaiah 2:2-4)

Mountains are often symbols of a kingdom in the Bible. Daniel mentions the Kingdom of God as a great mountain that filled the earth.

"The stone that smote the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth." (Daniel 2:35)

"And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever."(Daniel 2:44)

These prophetic declarations will happen. They will occur as a result of prayer and intercession by the people of God. Christ taught His disciples to pray, "Thy kingdom come, and thy will be done on earth just as it is in heaven." The Lord's Prayer is a spiritual warfare prayer. As you declare His kingdom come and His will be done there is a clash in the spirit between Christ's kingdom and demonic kingdoms.

The ministry of Christ was not just as the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world but included the recapture of the Kingdom of God (Colossians 2:15). Our responsibility includes a Kingdom responsibility, to preach the forgiving power of the blood of Christ (the Cross) while equipping and empowering Disciples to advance the Kingdom of God. Cross and Kingdom advancement is the assignment.

Advancing the Kingdom of God is a spiritually militant assignment.

Christian ministry is not about building someone's self-esteem or trying to make them feel good about themselves. No, the ministry is about making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). Disciples understand they were translated out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once dead in trespasses and sin, but now alive unto Christ with a mandate to occupy till He comes.

There is a high-level battle for dominion taking place in the heavens. We are experiencing Bible prophecy. Nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom, ideology against ideology, good against evil, liberal against conservative, and bondage against freedom. Christ spoke of these things.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."(Matthew 24:6-14)

Some are trying to carry on with their daily routines while ignoring the violent assault on their nations. This is no longer possible. It is time to join the battle by putting on the whole armor of God that you might withstand the wiles of the devil. A demonic storm is building. "Let God arise and his enemies be scattered and those that hate him, run" (Psalm 68:1). Sound the alarm in Zion. Gather the mighty men. Let them beat their plowshares into swords. We are well able, let us go up at once.
